How to Apply
Check your Eligibility & Find a potential supervisor
You need to meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a research course at ACU. This information can be found in section 4 ‘Eligibility for Admission to a Research Higher Degree’ of the Higher Degree Research Regulations.
All Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates need to work under the supervision of a fully accredited Principal Supervisor. It is preferable that you identify a suitable potential Principal Supervisor for your project before you submit your application. Visit https://rexr.acu.edu.au/ to browse by research topic or a potential supervisor’s name.
Complete an Application for Admission
If you are a domestic applicant, complete the Domestic Application for Higher Degree Research Candidature / Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Word, 170KB).
If you are an international applicant, complete the international online application form available at http://www.acu.edu.au/international/study_research.
Organise your Confidential Referee Reports
You must provide two referee reports with your application. After you have downloaded the Confidential Referee’s Report form you will need to complete section 1 before forwarding it to your referees to complete the remainder of the form. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that your referees return the reports to Candidature Services (firstname.lastname@example.org). Your application will not be considered until two referee reports have been received.
